We want to direct you quickly and accurately. We want to give you the right appointment.
To help us do that, we will need to know some details about why you’re calling.
Confidentiality applies to ALL staff at the Practice, so anything you tell us is kept safe.
We have lots of different types of medical staff. They can help you face to face; on the phone; or by e-mail. We want to get you to the right one as quickly as possible.
To give you the best service, let us help you see the most appropriate person.
What types of appointment do we offer?
Routine appointments - We have appointments that can be booked between 3 days and 4 weeks in advance. We always try to offer patients an appointment with the clinician of their choice, but that is not always possible. In some cases, an appointment with a practice nurse will; be more appropriate. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many problems and can often see you much sooner than a GP.
Urgent appointments - Patients can request a same-day appointment either over the phone or by visiting the practice. The clinician you see will depend on your symptoms. There is a high demand for these appointments and sometimes the Patient Coordinators will arrange for a GP to call you back to complete a clinical assessment before offering you a face to face, same day appointment.
Improved Access - Working within our current staffing capacity, we are doing our best to ensure that you have access to additional appointments outside of our usual hours. As a result, you may be offered an early morning or evening appointment. If this is something you would prefer, please ask about availability when booking an appointment.
